  •   So pleased we booked here. Four spotless, peaceful rooms overlooking the sea. Included a tasty breakfast around a large table where you can swap stories with other guests. The free trip on the sail boat was also a highlight.

  •   The Sail Inn is a quaint 4 bedroom inn on one of the main streets in Lunenburg and right by the wharfs. Views from the rooms are spectacular. We stayed for 5 nights.

Staff are friendly & welcoming. Rooms are clean and very spacious. In reading other reviews I can comment:

Noise - we were on the top floor and had no problem with noise. I do wonder if toilets flushing, sinks running etc during the night might be a problem for people below us.

Parking: was not an issue. There’s 4 rooms and three spots out back. And lots of free on street parking after 5. Not sure why people make such an issue about this!

Breakfast: was very good with our choice of eggs, with bacon, along with a buffet of fruit, cheese, smoked fish and bread/toast.

Accommodation included a free sail on the Eastern Star - don’t miss this! A wonderful two hours out!

The only negative I have is our bed mattress didn’t fit bed properly so there was a gap between headboard and mattress that my pillow kept sliding into. And since the floors slant (it’s an old house!) the head of the bed was a bit lower than the feet so could use some propping up.

I would definitely go back and will also recommend.

  •   Our room was spacious and very clean. The bathroom was HUGE! The staff were very kind and housekeeping was meticulous. Breakfast was wonderful. Probably the best part was the free sail! We had a lot of fun and it was great to be out on the water. I would highly recommend.

  •   Charming B and B. Quiet and comfy rooms and excellent breakfast in the morning. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Free with out stay was a two hour sail. What a treat!

Close to everything and the harbour. Once we parked, we walked everywhere.

  •   We got bumped from another reservation and got the last room available at Smugglers Cove. It was a great save to our day. Check in was smooth and pleasant. Greg also had great recommendations and looked up information for us without being asked. Room was spacious, clean, and well maintained. A great value for the location. The coffee shop next door is great for breakfast. Loved this local inn!

  •   Inn has new owners, new to the b&b business. They are working very hard to make this successful.

Breakfast was excellent and made to order. Interesting group of other visitors made the communal breakfast table very enjoyable.

Be aware that the sailing trips mentioned in a number of earlier reviews are no longer included under the new ownership.

  •   This place is very well located, the room was neat and clean and tastefully decorated and we got all we needed. It doesn't have a very personal touch though but I would stay there again.
the bedding was very nice and this really deserves a call-out!

  •   The stay in the Sail inn was probably the best place we stayed in during our visit to Nova Scotia. The rooms were very tastefully furnished, the breakfast was excellent, where all the guests sit together and get to know each other. Included in the price is a sailing experience on the yacht which is owned by the Sail Inn owner. The position of the Sail inn is situated close to the harbour and the centre of Lunenburg. We really enjoyed our stay in the Sail inn and would not hesitate to recommend this B&B.

  •   Travelling from Ontario we wanted to sail the Bluenose that was in town so we found Sail Inn. We hit a homerun. We were in room 2 and we could see the Bluenose from our window.

This place is right downtown close to amazing restaurants and shops. There is free parking on site.

The hosts are a hard working friendly couple who take pride in ownership of the B & B.

The room is very large with a comfortable bed.

The bathroom is very large and clean with double sinks and a large bathtub with rain shower shower head. The WIFI was very strong .

The made to order breakfast was delicious. Eggs, bacon, ham, grapes, melons, cantaloupe, Brie cheese, variety of other cheese, organic orange juice and coffee or tea. The bread is local as well as many items offered.

Because we went on the Bluenose, the owners allowed me to leave my car in the parking lot long after checkout which was nice.

We will recommend this place to anyone and will return if in the area again. More
